Edinburgh is far outside our usual working area in the Midlands and England. We consider larger installation projects there by arrangement, but we do not offer repairs or emergency call-outs.
The Old Town and New Town together form a World Heritage Site, and a large share of the buildings are listed. The City of Edinburgh Council has some of the most detailed shopfront guidance in Britain, with strong preferences for traditional timber fronts, painted signs and internal security. Any work here needs careful drawings and usually several consents.
Outside the centre, Leith, Stockbridge, Bruntsfield and Morningside have lively local high streets with cafés, delis and independent shops, many still in Victorian and Georgian buildings with conservation area controls.
